This was our little celebration for Halloween 2002, when Bearhug and Cuddlebug were 16 mos old. They were dressed as Thing 1 (Cuddlebug) and Thing 2 (Bearhug) from the Cat in the Hat (minus the blue hair). It seemed a fitting costume idea, here's a quote from the book. I wouldn't say they had "bad tricks" but other than that, this definitely fit them:
"Thing Two and Thing One! They ran up! They ran down!
...
Then those things ran about With big bumps, jumps, and kicks
And with hops and big thumps And all kinds of bad tricks." - Dr. Seuss
Even though we didn't understand why yet, we knew they couldn't handle a lot of excitement so we opted for some low-key fun at home. This was the beginning of our ice cream on Halloween tradition :). In addition to ice cream, the festivities included dancing, flapping, wheel-spinning, and a little scuffle over a toy (nevermind the fact there were TWO of the same toy) at the end, lol.
It's your turn! What memorable moments would you like to share today?

Boys will be boys. LOL. I actually have a son that won't eat ice cream and doesn't really like any sweets. I tell him often that we really aren't related.
So cute!! My favorite part was the dancing!
They are so cute! Isn't it amazing how they were already teaching us what the needed even before we really knew what was going on. I love your low key ice-cream tradition. We still have Diva to consider (Frog could care less about all this getting dressed up business) so we have costumes and visit the grandparents - gave up on Halloween carnivals after Frog's 2nd Halloween.
I loved Thing 1 dancing to "Jenny From the Block." That song was out in 2002? Wow, time flies.
BTW, that video is just so sweet - you and DH enjoying your boys.
Love Thing 1 and Thing 2 clothes for twins. The boys have those. We aren't really doing anything for Halloween this year, they are too little and when it is time for trick or treating(our nephews come to our neighborhood) it is the boys bedtime.
So adorable! Those were great costumes too.
I am going to make a conscious effort to capture video for your Monday's in Motion. I like to participate but sometimes I forget!
