Magic Marker Monday: Watercolors

Photobucket

Last weekend, Little Bitty decided he wanted to paint. He found a set of watercolors in the art supplies and brought it to me (well, he shoved it into my hands with an expectant look). "You want to paint?" I asked. "Pay, eeeyes" he said. He's really coming along with his talking, he doesn't always have the word to start with but if you give him the word he can repeat it with a yes or no. And he's got his yes's and no's down now so that's a good thing :).

So I got him some paper and set up the paints with a little bowl of water for him. And of course, grabbed the camera to get some pictures of his masterpieces in progress.

You can see in this one he switched hands, he tends to start off with his right hand but he changes back and forth whenever one hand gets tired.

Here are his finished paintings:

Great artwork - it would look good on a wall! He's so careful not to mix his colors.

Wow, he did great! His pictures look like rainbows, AND he stayed on the paper. My kids would have been painting that pretty wooden table!
