Stinky stuff

I walked into the boys' room the other morning to make sure they were up and getting ready for school, and as soon as I did I was hit with a yucky smell - cat poop. Uh-oh, that means the cat got stuck in their room overnight. Sure enough, I see him sleeping near their bed. He got up and walked out and soon as he saw the door was open. He headed straight for his litter box, so at least I was in time to stop yet another pile from ending up on our carpet.

I reminded the boys to make sure they don't lock the cat in their room at night (they like to sleep with the door closed). Cuddlebug's answer (ever the logical guy), "we didn't lock the door, we just shut it."

Sigh. "Well, since the cat can't use the doorknob, it's pretty much the same thing. Please make sure the cat isn't in here when you shut it next time."

Aahhhh!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On that topic, Bitty came up today saying "bah... bah" (which is his word for chocolate, b/c dh has been buying Kit Kats lately and they are "bars"). I looked over and found him pointing to a poo-ball in the pull-up he'd just taken off.
Eewww, that's not a "bar"!!!
Lesson of the day - just because it's brown, doesn't mean it's chocolate...
Our cats hide from us at night because we put them in the basement at bedtime. Of course their litterbox is downstairs. Glad you cleared up the "just because it's brown, doesn't mean it's chocolate." before it was too late. LOL!
But i do hope the boys remember not to shut the cat in too often.
Teach your cat how to open the doorknob. [wink].
Your Bitty is funny, it's good he didn't eat the poo-ball.
Ewwww, lol! It reminds me of the scene from "Baby Mama". We have to watch for the same thing with out cats. They love sneaking into bedrooms.
Oh my, LOL!!!! That is hilarious and disgusting at the same time!
I have to do the cat search anytime we leave the house because he tends to get shut into bedrooms. At least the kids had a logical answer, great reasoning skills!
Ewwwww!
And our Fat Kitty knows how to open doors, but we lock our cats in the laundry room every night with the litter box because they drive us crazy with the meowing at our doors. We sleep with our doors closed too!
Poop stories! I love them! I walked into Peanut's room on Friday after a nap and the last wave of the virus had finally hit! It was so bad the smell lingered long after it was all cleaned up. Also, the other day MA called me when I was at the store freaking out. She was babysitting and Peanut had pulled Milk Duds out of her diaper and were lining up on the couch! Here's to an non-adventurous week in the poop department. We need a break!
