Quick update

I had to work last night so I didn't get to do any updates, although I already had a post scheduled for this morning. Hope you enjoyed my little walk down memory lane :).

I didn't actually get much work done until early this morning, b/c it took all night to get Bitty to go to sleep. At least he wasn't screaming, he just wouldn't go to sleep. I have heard that melatonin can be helpful, if anyone has experience with that with a 3-yr-old, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks to everyone who commented yesterday :). I will be stopping by to visit your blogs also, as soon as I can. And I have lots of updates coming as soon as I have time to post again!

It's cool that your hubby is a SAHD. Wow. How does he do? He must do well or you would have kicked him out of the house and taken over, right? I am just so in awe of you. I'm sorry the little guy wouldn't go to sleep last night. That can be so hard. Thanks for your sweet comment on my post and I'll see you around!

My son who is now 17 has always had difficulty sleeping at night--lots of outdoor exercise (the light seems to really matter)really helps a lot. Never did try melatonin, though I considered it...

I have been using melatonin with my 6-year-old for about three months. I give 1 mg and it works so well. He gets a great night sleep every night and does not wake up groggy.

I have also tried 1/2 mg tablet with my 3-year-old a few times, and it worked fine with her.

I have heard that it's best not to become dependent on it, so I do try to leave it off a few nights here and there.

Hope that helps!

@mom2my9 - LOL, yep he's awesome :) His background is teaching & coaching. He's very creative and comes up with some interesting games and things to keep everyone happy and busy, and during the summers he does his own version of "homeschool" to keep them in the mode of learning and prepare them for the upcoming school year.

@terri - that's a good point, exercise makes a huge difference. I think he's still adjusting to school starting again, he only had 6 wks of school before summer break so he's trying to get back into the routine.

@elizabeth - thanks for the tip. Thankfully, we wouldn't need it every night but it sure might be helpful every now and then!
